i so wish i did, but i'm no where nearly a good enough of an artist to do that. they have to draw absolutely anything. think of all the different kinds of tattoos people have. every tattoo artist in the shop should be able to do that. really good artists, the kind that have a particular style that is popular or that is so unusual that people will travel to be tattooed by them. i read about my artist in a book called "modern primitives" he was featured in that and i saw a celtic tattoo he had done on himself with traditional tools (a sharp, small wood needle, like a really bit toothpick and put ink on it and the tap on it when it's in your skin. but he had done this on himself!!on his upper arm! it was a beautiful, perfect and very detailed. when i saw that i said that's the guy for me. his shop was in san francisco and i live in the bay area, so i could go to him. i was nervous as hell. i met him and talked about my ideas we hit it off pretty well. he agreed to do it and when i made an appointment, he said it his first opening was in 6 months! i was shocked but i decided getting greg's art on me was worth waiting for. he's been tattooing me since 1992. he went the san francisco art institute and got a degree in fine art. his skills are just beyond mine, i couldn't be a good tattooer. :) but i am very involved in the designs.

i miss wood panel cars. it seems like a very bizarre point in automotive design. interesting design (on your part in this drawing). the 70's was a weird and scary time. like every other decade.

Born in 1981... but yeah, films and music and photos of fashion, design, and architecture from the 70's really interest me. I find it appealing... but thats probably because I am looking at it in less of a nostalgic sense.

yeah, i should isolate my interests more. i don't have a century or very many people in mind. and i don't think in terms of those other items. its something i need to consider more...
